Senior Trade Compliance Analyst
(fulltime – Breda)

Job Summary and purpose
With minimal supervision, the Senior Analyst is responsible for the ongoing development, administration and operation of the designated activities associated with Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance operations of the company in the EMEA Region to ensure compliant smooth movement of goods.

Tasks & Key Accountabilities

• Ensure compliant trade by creating, maintaining and monitoring processes, procedures, work instructions and manuals;
• Participate in projects to ensure Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance requirements to be met, and manage projects as assigned by manager;
• Monitor, analyse & interpret applicable regulations as subject matter expert and implement changes to affected import/export processes or business practices to meet new compliance requirements;
• Identify, investigate and review compliance aspects of any import/export activity;
• Ensure correct and accurate trade master data (like customs tariff and CoO) via respective processes and setting guidelines;
• Ensure record keeping and archiving requirements being met;
• Prepare and submit official applications, and communicate with related authorities;
• Participate in use of SAP GTS system;
• Assist with or provide Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance training programs;
• Interact regularly with multifunctional groups in distribution, legal, outside service providers, management, procurement, engineering, transfer team and others to ensure an understanding of regulations to accomplish trade compliance objectives.

Profile of suitable candidate


• Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) from an accredited university in a relevant field;
• At least 5 years trade compliance experience working in a similar role;
• Ability to formally communicate with various government agencies, and all levels of the organization in written and verbal form;
• Highly analytical, high ethical standards, organized individual with ability to process details efficiently and accurately;
• Auditing/monitoring experience;
• Ability to interpret regulations surrounding European import/export compliance;
• English language skills; other languages, especially German and any other European additional language preferred;
• Experience with SAP;
• Experience with SAP GTS not required, but helpful;
• Willing to travel 5-15% including some global.
